Busy building @ IFTF 2012

Yesterday we were busy building our stand at the IFTF. Here is a sneak preview. Today the finishing touch and then tomorrow October 31 the opening. Until then!

IFTF 2012 All set!

Last bulbs mosaic Big Ben

His Excellency Mr Arkwright, ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland planted the last bulbs of the spectaculair the flower bulb mosaic of the Big Ben and Tower Bridge. The mosaic measures 13 by 22 metres and has been created from almost 60,000 flower bulbs. Its colourful splendour will reveal itself in all its floral glory in the spring of 2013.

Keukenhof Flower Bulb Market

This weekend Keukenhof organizes the annual Flower Bulb Market. It will take place on October 19, 20 and 21st. Dozens of Bulb growers from the Netherlands will sell their finest bulbs, even rare species. In addition, the Keukenhof gardeners give plant demonstrations and there will be guided tours in the park.

Entrance to the Keukenhof park during this Flowerbulb weekend is free. Please come and enjoy the park in its beautiful fall colours!

Great mosaic: Big Ben and Tower Bridge

At the 18th of October the first bulbs of a great mosaic with more than 50.000 bulbs of the Big Ben and Tower Bridge will be planted, regarding our theme United Kingdom - Land of Great Gardens.

Keukenhof started planting

This week more than 30 gardeners of Keukenhof started planting the first out of 7 million bulbs. All the bulbs are planted by hand and will take about three months.
