2013 is coming to his end. Also the end of the harvesting of the lily and gladiolus bulbs is in sight. Millions of bulbs have arrived at the Bot Company. Trucks drive back and forth, forklifts loading and unloading the trucks. Everyone is committed 200% to handle all the bulbs. The inspector controls the incoming bulbs. Then they are rinsed, disinfected, packed and stored. So you can see the whole Bot company is very busy.

Today Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet came along at Bot Flowerbulbs. But they came especially for our head purchaser "Jan Rustenburg" Jan did some naughty things, so Zwarte Piet grabbed him by the shoulder to take Jan to Spain. The whole Bot T...eam begged to Sinterklaas to let him stay. If John promised to do his best in 2014, he was allowed to stay. Next year on 05-12-2014 Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet come back to see if John has kept his promis and if not ... Jan must go to Spain to clean the boat and stables with a toothbrush.

Visiting Korea 2013

Our colleague Marco Knol has traveled to Korea to visit clients. On his first day of his stay he sent this beautiful photo from Guangju covered with snow.
On the other pictures are fields with Irises and Lilies of the best quality. Grown specially for the consumer.

Gerry and Wendy Neefjes-Laan have given a party as end of their working life. Gerry and Wendy have always delivered a top performance when it comes to growing quality iris flowers. They have always been the experimental farm for us to test new species in practice. We have therefore an iris named after Gerry Neefjes. The act consisted of the baptized with champagne and signing the KAVB registration act.

#Dragonboatrace 2013

Every year there is a Dragonboatrace in the harbor of Enkhuizen. The original dragon boat is 12.5 meters long and 1.15 meters wide. The distance sailed during an event is around 200 meters, the most popular official distance.

Last weekend ...the Bot team participated in the dragon boat race in Enkhuizen. Full of courage we went into battle with the other teams. The Bot team was instructed and to the rhythm of the drums they started rowing.
So the Bot team rowed toward a well-deserved third place and therefore received a nice trophy.

Cooperation agreement
